Club/school links
Scottish Rowing is actively promoting links between clubs and schools. Clubs interested in promoting activity with schools should follow the guidelines set out in the document "Working with Schools". To assist clubs who want to develop or expand such links, Scottish Rowing, supported by sportscotland, is pleased to be able to offer a number of grants of up to £500. Details of how to apply for these grants are set out in the Club/Schools Small Grant Information; the application form may be downloaded from this website.
In addition, Scottish Rowing can help run indoor taster days in schools and has a small number of Concept2 rowing ergometers available to borrow for school development projects.
For anyone wanting to use Scottish Rowing Centre boats for junior development, a number of boats in the Scottish Rowing fleet have been designated as development boats and are available to hire at a preferential development rate. Contact John Blair 01698 250250 or john.blair@scottish-rowing.org.uk for bookings.
Scottish Indoor Rowing League for Schools

| The Scottish Indoor Rowing League for Schools, in partnership with Concept2, is up and running for the 2011/12 season. This competition is for teams of four or eight and is open to pupils from Primary 7 right through to S6. There is even a category for adult teams incorporating staff and parents so everyone can get involved.
There are 5 monthly challenges running through to April 2012 and prizes will be awarded to the category winners after all 5 challenges have been completed. An entry into the Scottish League automatically enters you in the Concept2 national league and allows you to compare your scores with teams from the rest of Britain and Ireland and beyond.
