Results from BUSA: No official results yet, but in the first day and a half of racing at BUSA Scottish crews made it through the rounds to several finals, including Championship finals in Mens and Womens 4+, Mens Lightweight 2x and Womens 2-.
Silver medals were won by Aberdeen University (McDowell) in Womens Junior 1x and by Edinburgh University in a sprint for the line, in Mens Junior 4+ . Bronze medals were won by Heriot Watt University in Mens Champs Lightweight 2x, Edinburgh University in Womens Champs 4+ and by Glasgow University (Buesher) in Womens Novice 1x. On Sunday morning, Glasgow University added the bronze medal in Mens Freshers 8. Conditions on Saturday were relatively benign, with only a mild head wind to contend with. Sunday proved to be a different story, with a strong head wind resulting in at least one mid-race capsize, one crew managing to visit all the lanes (including lanes 0 and 7) and kit stall owners spending most of their time securing their stands!
