Eggheads: The BBC are looking for teams of 6 contestants to come on the show and have the chance of winning anything from £1000-£35,000 by defeating the "Eggheads". Most of their applicants are men and they would love to have more women on the show. Teams should have big personalities and good general knowledge and the quiz team think Women's Rowing teams would inject some healthy, competitive team spirit!

If you are interested or know anyone who may be, please get in touch by telephone or e-mail. Direct Line: 0207 434 5987, or alternatively e-mail Tiffany Lent. Glasgow auditions are on 24 September, so time is of the essence!

FISA World Masters: The World Masters Regatta finished today, after three days of highly competitive racing in a mixture of conditions. The wind picked up rather strongly on Friday, making attaching to stake boats rather tricky and putting the event 2 hours behind at one point. All racing was completed however, with racing extended to 8pm. Conditions over the weekend were rather better, with the Park bathed in sunshine this afternoon.

There were quite a number of Scottish winners (apologies if I've missed any):
Friday: WC2x A Ord (CARC) & H Smith (IRC); MC 1x A Rudkin(LARC); MC 1x W Brown (SRC); MB 2x C MacQuaker & I Law (LOM)
Saturday: MB 1x A Rudkin (LARC); MB 1x I Law (LOM); MC 2x A Rudkin (LARC) & T Birtwhistle; WC 4x A Hulme (SABC), S Standish-Hunter (IRC), M Towrie (IRC), A Ord (CARC); ME 4- B Lowe (SABC) & Slavia Praha; MC 4x P Murray (CSRC), M Holmes (CSRC), D Nolan (CARC) & W Brown (SRC)
Sunday: Mixed C 2x A Rudkin (LARC) & R Rudkin; Mixed D 8 A Ord (CARC), Sons of Thames, Thames RC, Tideway Scullers & Croatia, Mixed C 4x E Law (CSRC) & international crew

Congratulations to all the organisers who have worked so hard for this event. Strathclyde Park 2005 will certainly be remembered by everyone who was there for many years.
