NRA Boat Fleet: A message from Richard Watters to all clubs using equipment or the water at Strathclyde Park.
"Further to Iain's Somerside's message about the stolen footplate (17th January), I have this morning found three footplates lying around the boatshed. We don't mark them so I don't know which boats they're from. Its bad enough that we get equipment stolen but lets not make it easier for the thief. Apart from the obvious risk of deliberate or careless loss the lack of care for the SARA's equipment is unacceptable. Taking equipment from one boat to put in another maybe a very rare necessity but it must be replaced afterwards. For security the three footplates have been removed to the Academy office. If any crew is taking a boat out and there's a footplate missing please make the office the first place you go to NOT ANOTHER BOAT."
