Aberdeen Eights Head: Results and photographs from last weekend's race are on the Committee of the Dee website. As a prequel to the Aberdeen HOR, we were honoured to have Commodore Angus Menzies christen two new boats in ASRA’s fleet. Commodore Menzies then swapped his gold braid and sword for a cap and cox-box and coxed the Inverness Mixed Eight over the course.
Universities Winter League: Last years winners have slightly extended their lead at the top with the middle order changing but getting more competitive for third place. With one event to go top spot can still be grabbed by Edinburgh University.

World Indoor Rowing Championships: Kelly Limond of Clydesdale ARC wil be taking place in this weekend's Crash-B World Indoor Rowing Championships, being held in Boston USA, in the women's lightweight category. Further information on the Crash-Bs are on their website - www.crash-b.org

Aberdeen Eights Head: The start order for the Aberdeen Eights HOR is now posted on the Committee of the Dee website - http://cofd.co.uk. There is a good entry from University clubs from outside Aberdeen (St Andrews, Heriot Watt and Dundee) and ASRA are also featuring a Mixed Octuple in the timed event in Division 1.
AUBC Alumni: Aberdeen University Boat Club is attempting to regain contact with past members of the club and would be glad to hear from previous rowers. The purpose of this is to set up an Alumni Members Club where previous AUBC members can keep in touch with each other and the current progress of the club. Clydesdale Fours and Eights Head: Details for the next Head Race on the Clyde, to be held on Saturday 8th March, are now available - poster, crew invite and entry form
Inverness Eights and Small Boats Head: Saturday's race was held in crisp and sunny conditions on the Caledonian Canal. Fastest men's eight of the day was the Veteran composite from Castle Semple/Stirling/Clydesdale and fastest women's eight, the Clyde/Clydesdale/Dundee University/Glasgow composite. Full results are likely to be on the Inverness RC website soon.

Tenders for Catering Request: A request for tenders from clubs for the catering and bar at SPR and Scot Champs has been issued.
Women's Eights Head: The draw for the Women's Eights Head of the River Race is now on-line on the WEHORR website. Rowers from nine Scottish clubs will be racing in London on 1st March. Many of these crews will also be racing this weekend, in Inverness, Newcastle (Tyne Head) and Nottingham (Head of the Trent).
Scottish Indoor Rowing Champs: The results from Saturday's indoor champs are now on the Concept 2 website.

SARA Long Distance Trial: The Team Manager would like to remind all athletes and coaches that entries for the SARA Long Distance Trial will close at 5pm on Monday 11th February. Please note that to avoid any confusion, this trial is not an invitation only trial and that entries are being accepted from anyone eligible for the 2008 Scottish HIR Team. The Trial will be run as a separate Head Race preceding the Inverness 8’s and Small Boats Head. Ian White, the SARA Vice President for Performance, will be present at the Scottish Indoor Rowing Championships and is keen to speak to as many coaches as he can. He is hoping to discuss the arrangements for the 2008 HIR and would appreciate feedback from any coaches (and athletes) who are present at the weekend.

Scottish Indoor Rowing Championships: Information about Saturday's event is now on the Indoor Rowing page and includes a welcome letter, a list of the provisional race times and a list of competitors. Competitors should make the organisers aware of any issues or ommissions as soon as possible.
