Sponsor the Scottish Rowing Indoor Championships

The Scottish Rowing Indoor Championships and the Scottish Rowing Schools Indoor Championships will take place at the ravenscraif Sports Facility in Motherwell on 17th and 18th November.  This is an annual event that attracts competitors from across UK and Europe.  In 2016, over 1300 people raced over the two days of competition.

Scottish Rowing, the Governing Body for rowing in Scotland is offering sponsorship opportunities across both events.

The Events - Scottish Rowing Schools Indoor Championships

This event was launched in 2014 and doubled in size in 2015 with over 500 participants from across Scotland taking part in a full day of exciting racing.  The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for pupils from any school in Scotland to access rowing and is the culmination of a National Indoor league for Scottish Schools.  It is free to enter, ensuring cost is not a barrier to taking part.  After the success of the Scots on the GB Rowing team in Rio, we are anticipating increased interest in this event again in 2017.

The Events - Scottish Rowing Indoor Championships

This event is open to anyone and is an opportunity compete against the best rowers in Scotland.  It is open to junior and senior competitors with the age range being from 12 to 70+ with over 700 participants in 2016.  A range of distances are offered from 500m to 2000m for individuals along with a 3000m team event.

Scottish Rowing Indoor Champs

Racing over the 2000m distance is a test of power and endurance and competition is fierce.  The event incorporates the Scottish Student Indoor Rowing Championships, resulting in a significant entry from the University sector.  Edinburgh, Glasgow, Heriot Watt and Strathclyde Universities are well represented at the event with Aberdeen, Robert Gordon (RGU), Dundee and Stirling Universities also featuring regularly.

Be a sponsor

We want to continue offering free entry to the Schools event while continuing to grow participation, however to do so we are looking for interested partners to support the event as sponsors.  Any sponsorship would apply to both events.

There are various sponsorship opportunities available starting from £300 and these are set out in the media pack.
