North Lanarkshire Council have advised that they will be lowering the loch at Strathclyde Country Park on 19th December to carry out essential maintenance to various loch structures, including repairs to the sluice gates and rowing jetty clamps.

All activity on the loch will be suspended from this date until further notice. North Lanarkshire Council have chosen the Christmas/New Year period to carry out this work in the hope to reduce the impact on loch users and anticipate that the loch will be back up and running by mid/late January.
