The Scottish Rowing Centre boat fleet and booking policy

(revised May 2010)

From 1st March 2009, the charge for using the water at Strathclyde Park will be £3.50 per head per 2 hour session (coxes included). This cost will be subject to review throughout the year. Special rates are included as part of training camp packages - contact the SRC for further details.

1) Book a Boat at Strathclyde Park: £ 3.50 per seat/per outing

• All bookings should be made to the Park Booking office (01698 402060)
• Bookings can be made up to 7 days in adanvce.
• Any bookings not used will be charged to club/individual concerned
• Any damage must be entered in the damage book.
• Greyed out boats are currently away, either for refurbishment or on loan.

2) Book a Boat away from Park: £ 7.50 per seat/per day

Boats can be booked up to 30 days before an event.

1. First priority will be given to applications from clubs who do not have the boat type requested.
2. Second priority will be given to applications from clubs who are already using all their own equipment at an event.
3. Third priority will be given to all other applications.
4. Applications will finally be prioritised in the order in which they are received.

For long-term hire of boats away from the Park or for removal for use at a regatta, trial or training camp please contact the Facility Manager, John Blair. Any bookings not used will be charged to the club/individual concerned.
Any damage must be entered in the damage log.

Please note that for applications for boat hire for regattas held at Strathclyde Park will be dealt with by a different method and that the hire application form will be published on the SR web site at an appropriate time ahead of each event.

3) Book a Trailer £ 25.00 per day

• All bookings should be made to the Park Booking Office
• Any bookings not used will be charged to the club/individual concerned
• Any damage must be entered in the damage log
• All payments for boat hire must be made to the Park booking office before the equipment is released on the water or removed from the Park.

The Association has insured all its equipment but the reserves the right to charge users the cost of any uninsured loss resulting from damage to its equipment.

The Association reserves the right to restrict the use of this equipment when necessary.
