Coastal rowing club, Eastern Amateur, are anticipating a “voyage into the unknown” when they line up amongst what organisers hope will be 100 boats for the inaugural Castle to Crane event this Saturday.

Dame Katherine Grainger knows people will find “community, fun and challenge” at West Boathouse

“What's lovely is seeing people who will come through the doors of this in the next two or three years, but then five, 10, 15, 20, then 50 years beyond that and benefit in some way,” said Dame Katherine Grainger who returned this week to the place where she first rowed, the West Boathouse on Glasgow Green.

Pride on the Clyde

Pride on the Clyde is a new project by Clydesdale Amateur Rowing Club and LEAP Sports. Clydesdale ARC values diversity and is working hard as a club to promote a cohesive and inclusive environment, where people feel comfortable and accepted. LEAP Sports has been at the forefront of facilitating acceptance in sports such as running, football and rugby in Scotland. Clydesdale ARC are taking part alongside LEAP in the Glasgow Pride weekend festival - aiming to change the image of rowing by promoting the sport as inclusive, fun, and welcoming.

Sinclair optimistic for future after Worlds selection

“I’m back”. The statement on Alan Sinclair’s twitter feed couldn’t have been clearer.

Last week the Rio Olympic finalist confirmed his return from injury which had sidelined him all season when he was selected to compete for Great Britain at the World Rowing Championships in Florida (24 September - 1 October).

Scotland’s first home based rowers to debut at 2017 senior World Championships

When three young Scottish rowers were selected for their first senior World Rowing Championships this week it was not only a defining moment for the athletes themselves - Maddie Arlett, Robyn Hart-Winks and Gavin Horsburgh - but also for the Edinburgh University Rowing Programme which has helped develop them.

Junior rowers from Aberdeen and Edinburgh featured as Great Britain took home eight gold medals and topped the Coupe de la Jeunesse points table in Hazewinkel, Belgium.
