GB Rowing Team Senior & Under 23 Open Trials Preview

Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Harry Leask leads the Scottish charge as athletes from across the country descend on Boston, Lincolnshire, on Saturday for the GB Rowing Team Senior and Under 23 Open Trials.

26-year-old Leask, who was part of Great Britain’s historic Olympic silver medal in the men’s quad, is one of four returning Scottish Olympians who will be racing over the 5,000m course on the River Witham, along with a number of emerging athletes including six rowers representing the Scottish Rowing Performance Programme.

Home International Rowing announces exciting new Beach Sprints event

England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will compete in a brand new rowing competition next year with the introduction of the Home International Rowing Beach Sprints, an exciting addition to the rowing calendar and one which helps to grow the pathway of this emerging international discipline across the home nations.

This weekend on Saturday and Sunday 20th and 21st November sees a significant entry of fours, quads and small boats competing in the Inverness Rowing Club's  Highland Campervans Inverness Fours/Quads and Small Boats Head which takes place on the superb rowing waters of the Caledonian Canal in Inverness.

Scottish Rowing J16 Camp

Scottish Rowing are delighted to announce the return of our annual J16 Land Camp from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th December 2021. We are now inviting registrations for the camp. The camp is open to Scottish J15 and J16 rowers (those born between 1st September 2005 and 31st August 2007) and all athletes should be fit and able to undertake land-based training including on the ergometer.  All participants must hold a current Scottish Rowing membership.

Burns wins GB Rowing Team trials as Scots shine on return to Boston

Scottish Rowing speak to Alan Sinclair

Autumn Challenge Cancelled

Despite having good feedback on the exciting new event format there were not sufficient clubs entered to deliver quality competition. We are disappointed to have to announce the cancellation of the Autumn Challenge but look forward to seeing our clubs and members competing again at the various events offered in the 2021-22 season. Scottish Rowing Launches New Junior Academy Programme

Scottish Rowing is today announcing an exciting new athlete and coach development initiative which aims to support talented junior rowers to reach their potential in the sport.

The Scottish Rowing Junior Academy will provide education, opportunity and community for athletes, coaches and parents, creating pathways for more Scottish rowers to continue in the sport and achieve success nationally and internationally.
