The Scotland Rowing Team selection policy documents for the Home International Rowing Regatta and the Home International Rowing Beach Sprints have today been published.
The 2022 season saw many highlights for the Scotland Rowing Team in both the flatwater and coastal formats, including winning the team trophy at the inaugural HIR Beach Sprints.
Scottish Rowing is now seeking highly motivated individuals as we aim to identify and prepare competitive teams to race in Ireland (HIR Regatta – 22 July) and Wales (HIR Beach Sprints – 9 September).
Those seeking selection for the Scotland Rowing Team should ensure that they have noted the dates for the selection trials for each of the two events. Those looking to book family holidays should ensure that they fall outside of the trials and preparation phase leading into each event.
Athletes are also reminded that the published minimum ergometer standards for the HIR Regatta must be met in order to be considered for selection to the Scotland Rowing Team.
Athletes, coaches and boat handlers (for HIR Beach Sprints) wishing to express an interest in representing the Scotland Rowing Team at both the HIR Regatta and / or the HIR Beach Sprints in 2023 should complete the following online form at the earliest opportunity:
https://forms.office.com/e/URA7UDTjzq
Formal registration will be facilitated through the Spond app in May 2023 and details of how to join the Scotland Rowing Team Spond group will be made available to those athletes who have completed the online form.
