Scottish athletes are preparing to make an impact on the international stage as an incredible 178 crews Scottish representation are gearing up for the 2025 World Rowing Masters Regatta in Banyoles, Spain, next week (10–14 September). This marks the largest Scottish turnout since 2017, with athletes from nine clubs — Aberdeen BC, Clydesdale ARC, Castle Semple RC, Glasgow RC, Inverness RC, Loch Lomond RC, St Andrew BC, Stirling RC, and Strathclyde Park RC — ready to take on the world. The four-day regatta promises thrilling competition across all boat classes and age categories, setting the scene for an unforgettable showcase of strength, skill, and Scottish spirit.
With the World Championships just around the corner, it's worth rewinding to June’s British Rowing Masters Championships — a thrilling showcase of talent that set the stage for what’s to come. Scotland’s rowers made a powerful statement, storming the competition and returning home with a remarkable haul of nine medals. From fierce sprints to commanding finishes, the performance was a clear signal that this year’s Scottish contingent is ready to take on the world.
