WHAT WAS THE CHALLENGE?
The challenge was to row from Scotland to Rio on rowing machines. The distance is 9491km.The challenge began on 1st January 2016 and ended on 5th August 2016, the day of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.

Prizes?
All teams who make it to Rio will get a certificate and all team members will receive a special limited edition gold Scottish Rowing wristband.
PLUS
The first 5 teams to make it to Rio will earn the naming rights to one of Scottish Rowing’s new training boats which will be revealed at the Rio Regatta on 24th September.
