Scottish Rowing is delighted to announce a new, four-year partnership with Powerhouse Sport to supply technical clothing to the Scotland Rowing Team and the Scottish Rowing Performance Programme.
Following the philosophy of using only the most innovative production techniques and the best fabrics, Powerhouse Sport has supplied rowing suits to the Scotland Rowing Team competing at the Home International Regatta and Commonwealth Rowing Championships over the past six years. “To fully prepare our Scottish athletes and teams it is essential that we consider all of the finer details that contribute towards performance,” said Scottish Rowing’s Head of Performance Pathway, Lee Boucher.“Having the best equipment and clothing is a vital part of an athlete’s preparations and we know that Powerhouse Sport shares our philosophy of attention to detail, innovation and high standards. “Their craftsmanship is clear to see in a rowing suit which is both comfortable and strong. Having the same design theme running through all of the clothing range brings a strong sense of identity which we believe will give our athletes an additional edge.”
The Scots competing in this summer’s Home International Regatta will be supplied with a rowing suit and short sleeve base layer designed and made by Powerhouse Sport. All selected Scotland Rowing Team members will then have an option to purchase additional kit via a team store page on the Powerhouse website www.powerhousesport.comAll former rowers, the Powerhouse team brings substantial rowing knowledge and experience into both its designs and customer service.Powerhouse Sport’s Eugene Coakley, who represented Ireland at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games, will be on the company’s display stand during this weekend’s Scottish Rowing Championships at Strathclyde Park (9-11 June) where prospective Scotland Rowing Team members can see the new range of clothing.“Powerhouse Sport is delighted to be entering a four year partnership with Scottish Rowing to supply high performance customised team kit to its team competing at the Home Internationals as well as its high performance athletes,” said Coakley.“Scottish Rowing has a strong history of some exceptionally talented rowers with Dame Katherine Grainger being the most successful. “We look forward to being a partner with Scottish Rowing over the next four year journey to find many more successful GB rowers.”
