Scotland’s first home based rowers to debut at 2017 senior World Championships

When three young Scottish rowers were selected for their first senior World Rowing Championships this week it was not only a defining moment for the athletes themselves - Maddie Arlett, Robyn Hart-Winks and Gavin Horsburgh - but also for the Edinburgh University Rowing Programme which has helped develop them.

Scottish rowers win medals representing Great Britain at the Coupe de la Jeunesse

Junior rowers from Aberdeen and Edinburgh featured as Great Britain took home eight gold medals and topped the Coupe de la Jeunesse points table in Hazewinkel, Belgium.

Scottish Rowing Calendar Updated

The Scottish Rowing Calendar has been updated to show the Winter Head race season. We are still awaiting confirmation from a few clubs about events in the new year but these will be added as soon as we are able. Many thanks for your patience.

We are currently working on getting dates for the Spring/Summer 2018 season and will publish them as soon as possible.

Scots feature in medal winning boats at U23 Worlds

Rowers from Scotland featured in two medal winning boats competing for the GB Rowing Team at the 2017 World Rowing Under 23 Championships, Plovdiv (19-23 July).

Scotland’s women awarded Dame Katherine Grainger Quaich after successfully defending Home International title

It all came down to the last two races but in a thrilling finale to the 2017 Home International Regatta, Scotland’s women successfully defended the title they won in Cardiff a year ago.

In winning the title by a single point at a sodden Strathclyde Park the Scotland Rowing Team’s women become the first recipients of the new Dame Katherine Grainger Quaich.

Scotland names its team for this weekend’s Home International Regatta

Scottish Rowing has announced its team to compete in the Home International Regatta (HIR), the prestigious one-day competition between four nations at Strathclyde Park, this Saturday (22nd July).

New Sprint Series aims to keep club rowers on the water through the summer

Scottish Rowing is organising a new Sprint Series of regattas during what is normally a quiet period for domestic competition - but should provide the best weather - in August and September.

Clydesdale ARC, Aberdeen BC and St Andrews Uni BC have all stepped forwards as event organisers for the Sprint Series which is being set up by Scottish Rowing in response to what clubs say is a need for events through the summer.
